Edit summary: Added source that appears to be able to be used as a definition of what this "third wave" is. I haven't read this long source yet. It is surprising to me that this is the first and only source in this article with the words "third wave" in its title; this is why I still feel that there is likely more Original Research and SYNTH here, but I will not remove anything more without reading sources first.
