Edit summary: The extensive changes were added to show that the Founders followed their commissions and were not violating any of their oaths of office. A history of how each state sent delegates to the 1787 Convention is paramount in understanding whose authority the delegates were under and whether they acted outside that authority as many Ant0Federalists of the day suggested. But when the actual authority and commissions are studied, it's clear the Founders acted within the scope of their authority.
